TouchDesigner Interactives Developer

Mousetrappe is seeking a creative and experience oriented TouchDesigner Interactives Developer to assist in the production of an interactive restaurant experience utilizing a projection system. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced Interactives Developer who will focus on honing the audience’s hands on experience and engagement with the show material. A technical mastery of building “audience ready” experiential and interactive media with TouchDesigner is a must. While the majority of the work can be done remotely, there will be several days at the end of the contract that require an on-site presence to execute implementation and testing of the systems.

Employment Arrangement:
Contract Based – 7 to 10 Weeks, Rough Start sometime between February 5th and February 16th. Most of the work can be completed remotely, however travel to Los Angeles for onsite integration work may be required.


Required Skills:

Interactive Development:
  • Fluency in TouchDesigner programming and a strong portfolio of past examples of unique audience-facing design-based interactive experience work.
  • Hold extensive knowledge and experience of working within immersive entertainment.
  • Forward thinking and creative in your approach to problem solving with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
Comprehensive Communication:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Troubleshoot and effectively communicate information to the broader team.
  • Exhibit patience and perseverance with an ability to serve as a teacher for the team operating the systems.
Technical Mastery:
  • A robust understanding of TouchDesigner, Projector Calibration, Object tracking, and Systems Development.
  • Adaptability and an open-mindedness are essential to align with the ebbs and flows of each technical system’s designs.
  • Experience working with object tracking libraries like Yolo and TouchDesigner Interactive Particle Systems Development.
Documentation Designer:
  • Document operational and programming design criteria to future-proof operational and growth needs.
  • Meticulous organization of projects and systems to allow others to easily step in to troubleshoot as required.
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel for project assignments as needed.
